Interpreting Services
Sign-language interpreters play an important role in the Deaf Access Program by helping patients communicate with doctors in their own language. Interpreters work closely with hospital administration and staff in assuring the quality of interpreting services for primary/specialty doctors, emergency department, surgeries, mental health services and other departments/services. In addition, Deaf Access Program has a contractual agreement with an outside interpreting referral services for emergencies after business hours.
