Urology

The Urology Department provides treatment for a wide variety of urinary tract disorders in men and women. We offer innovative and comprehensive treatments that improve the quality of life for our patients. Our goal is to use minimally invasive treatment methods whenever possible and we collaborate with other Mount Sinai Hospital specialists in oncology, nephrology, and gynecology to provide comprehensive care for our patients.

We understand that many of the problems we treat are related to parts of the body and bodily functions that people are uncomfortable talking about. All too frequently, people are embarrassed and they avoid or delay treatment. We reassure patients that there are solutions, yet remain sensitive to each patient's personal concerns and priorities. Our doctors are sensitive to quality of life issues, particularly related to the patient's ability to urinate normally and to retain sexual functioning after treatment.
